How Much Does Google Ads Cost in Singapore? CPC by Industry

Short answer

Google Ads in Singapore has no fixed price. You pay per click, set by a live auction, and cap spend with a daily budget. Semrush data from October 2026 puts estimated CPCs between US$0.58 and US$11.23 across 27 keywords. Most trades and clinics sit between US$2 and US$7. Work out your budget from the clicks you need, then fix conversion rate before raising bids.

Estimated cost per click on Google Ads in Singapore runs from US$0.58 to US$11.23 across the 27 commercial keywords we pulled from Semrush in October 2026. That is a 19x spread. Your total monthly cost is simply your click price multiplied by the clicks you buy, and you decide the cap.

So the real question isn’t what Google Ads costs. It’s what a click costs in your industry, and how many clicks you need before the phone rings.

How much does Google Ads cost in Singapore?

There is no fixed price. You pay per click, the price per click is set by a live auction, and you control the total through a daily budget.

In our sample, most local service keywords carry an estimated cost per click between US$2 and US$7. Marketing and web services sit higher, at around US$10 or more. Leisure searches like spa and massage sit under US$1.

Your monthly bill has two parts if you use an agency. Ad spend goes to Google. The management fee goes to whoever runs the account. This article is about the first part.

car rental singapore 9,900 US$0.65
spa singapore 8,100 US$0.58

Treat these as a starting estimate, not a quote. The CPC you actually pay depends on your bids, your ads and your competitors on the day.

A few things stand out in this data.

  • Lawyers aren’t the most expensive. “divorce lawyer singapore” averages US$4.31. That’s cheaper than “electrician singapore” at US$5.36.
  • Urgent home services are pricey. Plumbers, electricians, pest control and movers all sit between US$4.82 and US$6.70. Someone with a leaking pipe calls the first number they see. Advertisers bid for that.
  • B2B commands the highest prices. Digital marketing, SEO and web design keywords all cost around US$10 a click. One signed client is worth thousands, so advertisers can afford it.
  • High volume doesn’t mean high cost. “massage singapore” gets 14,800 searches a month at US$0.70 a click.

Why do some keywords cost so much more than others?

Price follows the value of a customer and the number of advertisers chasing them. A keyword where one sale is worth a lot, and several businesses are bidding, will always cost more.

Compare “maths tuition” at US$6.23 with “tuition centre” at US$3.01. Both are education. But a parent typing “maths tuition” usually has a subject and a child’s exam in mind. More centres bid on that specific intent.

The same applies to “office cleaning singapore” at US$6.77 against “cleaning services singapore” at US$3.23. An office contract runs for months. A one-off home clean doesn’t.

This is why copying a competitor’s keyword list rarely works. You inherit their bidding war without their margins.

How does Google decide what I pay for each click?

Every search triggers an auction. Google ranks each eligible ad using your bid, the quality of your ad and landing page, and the context of the search. You then usually pay less than your maximum bid.

According to Google Ads Help on the ad auction, the factors include your bid, ad and landing page quality, Ad Rank thresholds, the competitiveness of the auction, the context of the search such as location, device and time, and the expected impact of assets like phone numbers and sitelinks.

Google also states that strong quality and assets mean you can “win a higher position at a lower price” even when competitors bid more.

On what you actually pay, Google’s actual CPC page says you only pay what’s needed to clear the Ad Rank thresholds and beat the advertiser directly below you. With manual bidding you’re never charged more than your maximum bid. Bid adjustments and some automated strategies can change that.

Does Quality Score lower my cost per click?

Not directly. Quality Score is a 1 to 10 diagnostic, and Google says it is not an input in the ad auction.

Per Google Ads Help on Quality Score, it is built from three parts: expected click-through rate, ad relevance and landing page experience. Those same things feed the auction through ad quality. So a low score is a warning light. It tells you the ad or the page is costing you position or money.

How do Google Ads daily budgets work, and can Google overspend?

You set an average daily budget. For most campaigns, Google can spend up to twice that on a busy day, but it won’t charge you more than 30.4 times your daily budget in a month.

That comes straight from Google Ads Help on budgets. The 30.4 is the average number of days in a month. To turn a monthly budget into a daily one, divide by 30.4.

Here’s how that works on a S$1,000 monthly budget.

  • Daily budget: S$1,000 divided by 30.4 is about S$32.89.
  • Highest single day: up to about S$65.79, twice the daily budget.
  • Monthly ceiling: S$1,000, which is 30.4 times S$32.89.

So a S$65 day isn’t a mistake. Google is shifting spend toward days with more searches. The month still balances out.

How much should I budget for Google Ads when I start?

Work backwards from clicks. Pick your main keyword’s CPC from the table, decide how many clicks you need to learn something, and multiply.

A US$1,000 budget buys about 200 clicks at US$5, which is roughly the plumber or electrician price. The same US$1,000 buys about 330 clicks at US$3, around the tuition centre or dentist price. At US$10, the agency and web design price, it buys about 100.

Our view is that a campaign needs enough clicks every month to show which keywords and ads convert. Too few, and you’re guessing. That’s part of why SimplyGJ won’t manage an account below S$1,000 of ad spend a month.

How we’d think about it by business type:

  • Home services (plumbing, electrical, aircon, pest control). Clicks are dear but intent is urgent. Start narrow, with your core service and your service area only.
  • Clinics and allied health (dentists, physiotherapy). Mid-range CPCs. Separate high-value treatments like implants from general check-ups, because they behave differently.
  • Tuition and education. “maths tuition” costs about twice “tuition centre”. Subject-level campaigns cost more per click but match what parents actually search.
  • Professional and B2B services. The highest CPCs. A smaller number of clicks has to do the work, so tracking and landing pages matter even more.
  • Leisure and consumer (spa, massage, car rental). Cheap clicks and high volume. The risk is buying lots of traffic that never books.

What else changes my total Google Ads cost?

CPC sets the price of a click. Your conversion rate sets the price of a customer. Most of the money in an account is won or lost on the second number.

Things that change total cost, all of which you control:

  • Keyword match types and negative keywords. Loose matching pays for searches you never wanted.
  • Location and schedule settings. Showing ads island-wide at 3am when you only take calls in the day wastes budget.
  • Landing page. A slow page, or one that doesn’t match the ad, loses the click you paid for.
  • Conversion tracking. Without it, automated bidding has nothing to aim at and you can’t tell good keywords from bad.
  • Ad assets. Call buttons, sitelinks and locations can help you win position more cheaply, per Google’s own auction guidance.

One example from our own work. My Father’s Feet is a TCM reflexology centre. In the three months after we took over its Google Ads, conversions tripled and cost per conversion dropped. The centre is now fully booked two to three days ahead.

We didn’t get there by spending more per click. We got there by making each click more likely to become a booking.

If your ads are already running and leads aren’t coming in, read why Google Ads isn’t generating leads. If you’re deciding whether to keep spending at all, this guide on whether to fix or pause walks through the call.

What does an agency charge on top of ad spend?

Management fees are separate from what you pay Google. SimplyGJ charges a one-off S$300 setup and then 15% of monthly ad spend, with a S$1,000 minimum spend and a three-month minimum term.

On S$1,000 of ad spend, that’s S$150 a month in management. For how other models compare, see our full breakdown of Google Ads management fees in Singapore.

Is Google Ads worth the cost compared with SEO?

It depends on how fast you need leads and how long you plan to stay in the market. Ads stop the day you stop paying. SEO keeps working but takes months to build.

Look at the table again. At US$10 a click for “seo agency singapore”, 2,900 monthly searches would cost a lot to buy click by click, every month, forever. That’s why we’d usually tell a high-CPC business to build SEO alongside its ads. We cover the trade-off in SEO vs Google Ads in Singapore.

Where should I start?

Look up your core keyword in the table above, multiply its CPC by the clicks you want, and check that number against what a new customer is worth to you. If the maths works, run it properly with tracking from day one.

A cheap click is only cheap if it turns into a customer.

Questions people ask

What is the minimum budget for Google Ads in Singapore?

Google doesn't set a minimum. You choose your own daily budget. SimplyGJ manages accounts from S$1,000 of ad spend a month, because below that most campaigns don't get enough clicks to show what's working.

Can Google spend more than my daily budget?

Yes, on individual days. Google can spend up to twice your average daily budget on a busy day. But for most campaigns it won't charge more than 30.4 times your daily budget across a month.

Do I always pay my maximum bid?

No. Google says you only pay what's needed to clear Ad Rank thresholds and beat the advertiser below you. That's often less than your maximum bid. Bid adjustments and some automated strategies can push it higher.

Which industries have the most expensive clicks in Singapore?

In our October 2026 Semrush pull, marketing and web services were highest, with "digital marketing agency singapore" at US$11.23. Office cleaning, pest control, maths tuition and renovation followed, between US$5.49 and US$6.77.

Does a higher Quality Score make clicks cheaper?

Quality Score itself isn't used in the auction. It's a diagnostic. But the things it measures, expected click-through rate, ad relevance and landing page experience, do affect ad quality in the auction, which can lower what you pay.
